This is what Meryl Streep should have worn. Helen Mirren looks absolutely stunning. I adore the delicate beading of the sleeves, and I am in love with that silver colour, it's one of my new obsessions.

Once again, I am being surprised by all sorts of people. Demi Moore looks great in this peach dress. It is so soft, feminine and pretty, and it makes her look fresh and youthful.

I give Kristen Stewart this one, she looks good! Good for her. I actually felt bad for her watching her pose on the red carpet - she looked scared and uncomfortable. However, this dress is very nice, although not exciting. The draping looks almost like water, which is lovely. And her makeup is good too! I don't know what's going on with her hair, but at this point I'm so proud of her I don't even care.

So, I love the idea of this dress. The volume on the bottom of the dress is a great idea, and I love the transitioning from the pale pink through the lilac to navy and then black. However, it desperately needs to be a different material. Something that does not appear to be made from multicoloured stuffed animals.

So I have been absent for a long time, because things have been absolutely crazy.

Big news... I got an online fashion internship at College Fashion! I write a weekly "Would You Wear...?" column, and I adore it. The responses have been overwhelming, too - people are actually interested to see what I have to say, and share their opinions too! Check out my articles here.

I'm also a reviewer for my campus paper, the 200 year old Varsity, so writing those articles keep me busy. I get amazing opportunities to watch and review films before they're released publicly, and to get involved with things like the Toronto International Film Festival. I also get the chance to see public figures when they come to these premieres, like Tucker Max (asshole... obviously) and Korean popstar Rain (delightfully unaware). I also... duhn duhn duhn... have a new boyfriend! I met him over New Years in Montreal in a club. I essentially fell on him, and he asked me to dance. His name is Max and he is lovely and he loves zombie movies and the cold and baseball and hates socks! And I'm very, very happy.

Speaking of which, Montreal was incredible. We went to Karina's for New Years and danced the night away. It was the most beautiful club in the world. For four days, we ate, drank and were merry. The sky snowed big, fat flakes, and Christmas lights twinkled everywhere - it was so beautiful. And the people were so friendly. We made so many friends. Our only negative experience was being kicked out of a strip club, which wasn't quite as exciting as it sounds - we simply weren't spending enough money.

Besides that, notable things that have happened: Avatar blew my mind, I cut all of my hair off and died it brown, Sarah is making me the most gorgeous dress for Fireball (which I'll discuss later), I love breakfast, I have author David Gilmour as a professor, I have installed a bar in my dormroom, I am finally skyping, Mark, Liam, and Kat's band, Klaus and the Voormans, is incredible and they are getting the success they deserve.

This set is the closest I could get to what I'm wearing tonight. My earrings brush my shoulder, and consist of two gold lengths entwined with one another. Also, my cardigan is gold trimmed, and my dress is longer, as I am tending a family event. The shoes and the lipstick are the exact ones I'm wearing, but the shoes are much golder in person, as I understand they clash severely right now. My belt is silver and gold braided through one another.

Happy Christmas Eve to you all! But it also a day of great sorry as I report that my dog ate my most favourite possession, my "butter bag" from Spain - a purse so lovely and soft, that it feels like butter. Or felt like butter.

Sigh. It's a good thing I love him so much. For his own good.

I cannot get enough of this New Years makeup look from pixiwoo. All of their makeup is spectacular, but this one struck me for some reason. I'm going to try and replicate it for my New Years look, but mostly I'm dying for a pair of those Shu Uemura feather lashes. I just don't know where to buy them!

On that note, my friends, it is time for me to embark on a full body makeover. I have the new hair, but as of Boxing Day it is time for me to eat properly, work out, embrace shape wear, do my makeup properly, and wear more body conscious, curve skimming clothing! So, I got the hair cut and it was perfect.
And then I decided I wanted more, so I got off a few more inches.
And now it's chin length and FABULOUS.

I am so glad that I will be able to look significantly more chic every day (or chic at all...) and that it won't require much effort. Now I can't wait to try different looks with it.

Might I add... giant earrings look awesome right now. That is all.

The last few days have been busy but magnificent. Thursday night was our cafeteria's holiday dinner, which was amazing. The servery was set up with poinsettias, free cookies were given out, and turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, french onion soup, cheesecake and trifle were served - spectacular! Then on Friday morning I had my last exam (physics) and it went really well, too.

Then I bustled home, put on makeup and real clothing for the first time in... a long time, and went skating with some friends in Nathan Phillips Square. We had the greatest time, and went for hot chocolate and to get our photo taken with Santa in the Eaton Centre afterward! It was the ideal winter's day.

After that, I came home and went to Convocation Hall, right across from where I live, to see Stuart McLean with Jasmine who took a bus for four hours to meet me. It was absolutely amazing (I laughed, I cried), and I felt so much more in the Christmas spirit! Also, one of the musicians on tour with him was Jill Barber, who is just amazing.

We then went to Futures for some amazing cake (I had a white chocolate truffle) and apple cider, and came back to my place to watch the Lion King. She went home today, and I spent the rest of my time visiting with Dan and watching made-for-tv Christmas movies with some of my dorm mates.

Tomorrow morning we're getting up early (as in 11:30) to grab brunch (yum!) and watch some more! I'm excited to finally take a break.

This week is, therefore, just full of fun in the city! I'm picking up some cool food goodies for my mom for Christmas from St. Lawrence Market, and Robert's Rules of Order for my step-dad, and I'll certainly go skating a few more times. Looking forward to everything so much.

A friend of mine recently bought Sephora's Worth My Weight Nail Colour, and it is stunning. The texture is rough because it has actual flecks in it, and it is a magical colour, instead of (what I usually find to be) a tacky metallic. It's limited edition though, so I have to hop on it quickly!

I knew I had somehow found myself in the complete lull of being a university student when I was suddenly wondering to myself, "If only there were something I could wear that were like pajama pants but more socially acceptable... Sweatpants!" After that, my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe that this is who I've become! I always swore I wouldn't... However, I do suppose they would be better than the pjs I insist on parading around, and if I wore them as they are styled by Aubin & Willis (viewed on {frolic!}) I would be golden. This is certainly some food for thought.

Last night we had the most beautiful first snowfall I have ever seen. At 2 in the morning, big, fat flakes began falling on Toronto, and it was so refreshing. I love snow, because it just feels magical and covers the entire city in a fresh beginning, as cheesy as that sounds.

I went running out in my flip flops and pajama pants and wandered around alone in the blizzard. It was one of those moments where I cannot believe how fortunate I am to be living in such a beautiful place, and I'm unsure if there's a more beautiful one in the world.

When I stand on my doorstep, I see a beautiful courtyard and buildings from the 1800s. Literally. And if I walk for about 30 seconds, I can see the front campus of my college and the front of its buildings, or the most stunning, hidden away courtyard I have ever seen. Alone, with snow falling, by moonlight, I have never felt more fortunate or at peace. I love it here.

This is the front of my college, attached to the buildings beside my residence and about a 5 second walk from where I live:

This is Croft Chapter House, one of the original buildings of the university. It is one, large, dome-shaped room which has twinkling lights and a chandelier and is part of all of the other buildings. You can see it both from my doorstep and the front of the college. This is also where I attend our student council meetings:

This is my residence, Sir Daniel Wilson, and part of its courtyard. The bottom photo is of my house in particular, Loudon (yes, houses like Harry Potter.)

Finally, these are photos of the view from my doorstep. These buildings are part of the "U" shape including the front campus first shown and the Croft Chapter House. The "U" hides my favourite hidden courtyard, which I get to through the archway in the second photo, which is directly across from my doorway. In both pictures, you can also see the large and stunning stone patio.

I'm truly in heaven. I'm much happier, but it's also difficult for me to concentrate. Thank goodness my last exam is on Friday morning. After that, I am immediately going skating with some friends in Nathan Phillips Square.

Then after that, Jasmine is coming to visit! As I've previously mentioned, every year my parents and I go to see Stuart McLean do his annual Christmas show. However, given that I've moved away, I'm not able to go with them anymore. Because she's lovely and we share a passion for CBC and storytelling, she's coming with me to see him in Convocation Hall, which is literally 30 seconds from my doorstep as well (my, isn't everything just convenient)!

I really started to feel good and the Christmas spirit again when I went caroling with some friends for Unicef. My face is looking unusually shiny, and my eyes are closed, but I'm wearing my favourite scarf and my new coat. We sang our fool hearts out on busy street corners like Bay and Bloor, and sounded horrible but enthusiastic, and people enjoyed it! We ended up raising $125 in an hour, I was so proud.
